Chapter History

The 97th Golden Key Chapter, Boston College was chartered on April 23, 1987, as a part of U.S. Region 10, which includes institutions in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Upstate New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

With more than 8,100 members since 1987, the Boston College chapter is a growing one. Qualified members are in the top 15% of their class and are passionate about service and leadership. Honorary inductees include Boston College President, Father Leahy, and Carroll School of Management Dean James Halpin, among many other worthy faculty members.

The Boston College Golden Key Chapter is devoted to service and giving back to the community. Participants performed over 1,000 hours of service last year, and the chapter has received Gold standing for a number of consecutive years.

The 2012-2013 academic year marks a special milestone for the Boston College Golden Key Chapter as it commemorates its 25th anniversary, coinciding with the University's Sesquicentennial Celebration.
