Event: Canned Food Drive
Time/date: April 1, 2013 - April 30, 2013 5:00 p.m.
Information: All members who bring a single non-perishable canned food item to any BCGK event in the month of April will be awarded one additional point. Members unable to attend any of the above events are still encouraged to participate and should contact Ashley or Lauren to arrange an alternative drop-off. Donations will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2013 and will benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank.
Event: The New Member Recognition Event
Time/date: Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
Location: McElroy Faculty Dining Room
Information: Members who joined BCGK in the Fall 2012 semester will be officially inducted and receive certificates. The service will feature guest speaker Dr. Anita Miller, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Massachusetts Boston. All members are encouraged to attend and will receive one point.
Event: General Meeting
Time/date: Tuesday, April 9th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
Location: Higgins 310
Information: This meeting is mandatory for current sophomores and juniors. Topics to be discussed include: the point system, chapter scholarships, and officer applications for the 2013-2014 academic year. One point will be awarded for attendance. Event: The Boston College Festival of Friendship
Time/date: April 6th, 2013 (set-up: 9 a.m., actual program hours: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

Information: The Boston College Festival of Friendship is an annual carnival hosted in the Plex for children with special needs. This year's carnival is Dinosaur-themed, and activities planned include moonbounces, cotton candy, arts & crafts, lunch and games. Volunteers may report at 9 a.m. to help with set-up or at 11 a.m. to assist with activities once the children arrive. One point will be awarded for attendance.
